Conflict Management and Resolution Workshop

Friday, 12th February, 2021 - 10am to noon and 2pm to 4pm

This workshop will help lay and ministry leaders better understand conflict management and resolution processes, with a focus on congregations.

The content of the workshop includes:

    • Discussion of theories and theology of conflict
    • Exploring students’ preferred styles for dealing with conflict
    • Gaining tools for analysis and strategies for managing of conflict
    • Learning a conflict resolution model

 

Patty Evans is a mediator and serves as a United Church Conflict Resolution Facilitator. She offers conflict education workshops and group facilitation and consultation services in congregational, regional, and national church contexts. Patty brings many years of lay leadership experience, particularly in the United Church and its global partnerships. She coordinated and taught in the Shaw Transformational Leadership program at Queen’s Theological College.
