An Open Enrolment Course
Thursday, October 26th to November 9th, 2023, 7:00pm to 9:00pm

As the church continues to emerge from the Covid pandemic, how will it reimagine preaching? How can preaching help rejuvenate and inspire congregations that feel tired after the challenges of recent years? In this workshop, experienced preacher Jeff Crittenden will explore ways in which preaching can be an opportunity for leaders in congregations to invite people into deeper relationship with God and with God’s world, and how preaching can help renew Christian community. This three–night online workshop is particularly intended for lay leaders and others who are new to preaching who are called on to offer sermons. It is also suitable for clergy looking for new ideas and continuing education.
Instructor: The Rev. Dr. Jeff Crittenden is the senior minister of Metropolitan United Church in London, Ontario and an assistant professor of homiletics at Huron University. He holds a Ph.D. in Theology, a D. Min. in Homiletics, and is the author, most recently, of Leisure Resurrected.
