The academic year begins each September with a college retreat at a location near Montreal. The retreat is an opportunity to get to know other members of the college community in the beauty of God’s Creation and reflect on our common life and calling as Christians in the world. Each year, the retreat focuses on a particular theme. Past themes have included the Bible and the climate crisis; worship and witness as Christians in a consumeristic world; and ecumenical identity, among others.  

There is also plenty of time for swimming, socializing, exploring, and singing with our friends in the Montreal School of Theology. Attendance at the retreat is expected of all Master of Divinity, Diploma in Ministry, and Master of Sacred Theology students. Students in other degree programs are warmly invited to attend as well.
