2025 Convocation

🎓 Celebrating Convocation 2025 at Montreal Dio

On Sunday, May 5, the Montreal Dio community gathered in joy and gratitude to celebrate Convocation 2025. Held at St. George’s Anglican Church in downtown Montreal, the evening brought together students, faculty, alumni, and friends to honour this year’s graduating class and give thanks for the shared vocation of ministry and learning.

We offer our heartfelt congratulations to our three Master of Divinity graduates — Ozioma Obijiofor, Sarah Wicks and Felississima Mwambarangwe — whose faith, perseverance, and commitment have shaped our community and will continue to bear fruit in their future ministries.

We also celebrated Virginie Nguemdjo Ngatchuessi, recipient of a Diploma in Ministry, and Amy Haynes, who received a testamur from the United Church of Canada. Although they were not present in person, their accomplishments were warmly recognised during the service.

A special highlight of the evening was the conferral of an Honorary Doctorate in Divinity upon Fiona Crossling, in recognition of her long-standing commitment to faith-rooted social engagement and community leadership.

Each year, Dio awards a number of academic and community prizes to students who have distinguished themselves in various areas of study and formation. The 2025 Convocation Prize recipients are:
