An Open Enrolment Course
Tuesday evenings October 20th to November 17th, 7:00pm to 8:30pm, online.

What motivates Christians to share their faith? How might this be done in ways that are both humble and confident? How do we grapple with legacies of colonialism and coercion in our invitation? This 5-week fall course will explore themes with a special interest in the daily life of congregations and communities of faith.
In turn, we will explore:
(1) theologies of Christian invitation, (2) histories and ongoing legacies of coercive and colonial evangelism, (3) practices of individual invitation, (4) the role of a congregation’s community witness, and (5) the invitational opportunities of weekly worship and preaching.

Instructor: The Rev. Morgan Bell is ordained to the Order of Ministry of The United Church of Canada and serves as Director of United Church Studies at Montreal Diocesan Theological College. .
