Ozioma Obijiofor, Master of Divinity and Testamur
“My time at Dio has been deeply formative. From the warm welcome on my first day to the ongoing support from staff and peers, I’ve grown so much in worship leadership and preaching. The ecumenical and cross-cultural community here has been especially meaningful.”
Originally from southeastern Nigeria, Ozioma was raised in the Anglican tradition and later found a spiritual home in a Pentecostal church, drawn by its focus on Scripture, prayer, and personal study.
He holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Nigeria. Upon arriving in Canada, he became a candidate for ordained ministry in the United Church of Canada and will begin a Supervised Ministry Education placement at a community of faith following graduation. He looks forward to this new chapter in ministry with great enthusiasm.
Sarah Wicks-Potter, Master of Divinity
“Dio gave me an education where I was able to avoid going into debt and in this day and age, that is a rare jewel.”
Originally from South Windsor, Connecticut in the United States, Sarah Wicks-Potter has called Montréal her home for the past decade. She first felt called to ministry at age 13, imagining how sermons could be more engaging. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from McGill University.
After graduation, Sarah will continue serving part-time as a commissioned Disciples of Christ pastor at St. Martha’s Chapel and offering pulpit supply. On the path toward ordination, she’s also looking forward to reconnecting with friends and enjoying reading for pleasure.
Felississima Mwambarangwe, Master of Divinity and Testamur
“My time at Dio was deeply formative. It was more than academic learning; it was a season of spiritual sharpening, community building, and discovering how faith and life intersect in a complex world. The diversity of thought, and the rich ecumenical environment not only equipped me for ministry, but also expanded my heart for God’s global Church. It was truly a place where calling was both clarified and deepened.“
Originally from Rwanda, Felississima was raised in a Christian tradition that shaped her early faith and sense of vocation. After graduation, she plans to pursue ordination as a minister with a focus on pastoral leadership. Her next steps include enrolling in a Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) program to deepen her ministry skills. Felississima is passionate about leading a church or launching a nonprofit or faith-based initiative dedicated to community development. She also hopes to share her insights through publishing books and articles, and by serving as a conference speaker, retreat leader, or podcast host.
Virginie Nguemdjo Ngatchuessi, Diploma in Ministry
“From the innovative and very interesting study program to the beautiful and unique encounters with caring people, fruitful exchanges, and the sharing of unforgettable experiences, I only have wonderful memories of my time at Dio as a student.”
Originally from Baham in western Cameroon, Virginie arrived in Canada in 2010. Raised in the Église Évangélique du Cameroun, a Protestant church shaped by the Reformation, she has dedicated her life to ministry. Earning her diploma is both a celebration and an act of thanksgiving to God.
After graduation, Virginie will begin a part-time supervised ministerial internship in a parish where she will continue to develop her pastoral ministry. She hopes to be ordained following the completion of her internship, aligning with the United Church of Canada’s Candidacy Pathway.
Amy Haynes, Testamur
“My time at Dio has allowed me to achieve Testamur for Ordination in the United Church of Canada. I look forward to the path as it unfolds before me.“
Amy is the daughter of a Bajan father and a British mother. Though she grew up in Calgary, her years of seeking and travel—living in Montréal, San Francisco, Seattle, and Vancouver—have deeply shaped her soul.
Perhaps most formational in discerning her vocational call was becoming a mother to her two beloved children, Theodore and Marjorie, whom she describes as enfleshed grace and treasures beyond her wildest imaginings. For the first time in a long while, she looks ahead with a sense of adventure and joy.
