Fiona Crossling: Courageous Faith

La version française est disponible.

At Convocation on May 5th, the college awarded an Honorary Doctor in Sacred Theology to Fiona Crossling, recognizing a life shaped by faith, public service, and a deep commitment to human dignity. Fiona first encountered Christ during her MBA studies when a friend invited her to St. Stephen’s Church in Westmount—an experience that transformed her life and career.

After working in management consulting, she moved to India with her husband, the Rev. Dr. Chris Barrigar, where she served in Christian development. Back in Montreal, she led MultiCaf, Share the Warmth, and Accueil Bonneau, expanding support for people experiencing homelessness during the pandemic. A respected public voice, she advocated for food and housing security and partnered with universities on social innovation.

Fiona’s ministry extends to parish life and global mission, and her life remains a courageous, faithful witness to Gospel-rooted service beyond the church walls.
